Understanding Content Ads
Microsoft Content Ads Beta is a new advertising offering from adCenter that allows
advertisers to place content targeted advertisements on relevant webpages of select
Microsoft properties and partner websites. Content Ads deliver relevant ads to the
right people at the right time on the quality Microsoft network while giving advertisers
control over distribution and budget.
For example, if a webpage has content about kayaking, your ads about kayaking, kayaking
trips, or kayaking supplies can be displayed on that page.
How Content Ads Works
Based on the keywords and the targeting options you've defined, your ads are displayed
on quality, Microsoft-owned sites and on participating partner sites. The keywords
you define are compared to the keywords associated with the content pages, and your
ads display on relevant pages.
You can apply separate keyword bids to all Content Ads keywords, or to individual
Content Ads keywords in an ad group, providing optimum flexibility to support your
online advertising strategies.
Benefits of Content Ads
- Control: Content Ads help you extend your advertising reach to
a broader segment of your target audience.
- Quality: By placing Content Ads on webpages, you can reach customers
who have already chosen to read content that matches your ads.
- Relevance: Content Ads provide a high return on investment (ROI)
by delivering access to the high-quality MSN audience while giving you choices to
effectively manage contextual advertising distribution.
