Working With Reports
Reports let you track your search advertising budget and spend, help you evaluate
ad performance, and provide valuable insight you can use to optimize your campaigns.
Reports are categorized by report group. Each report group contains reports that
are related to a specific aspect of your account. You can view performance reports
for an entire account, a campaign, an ad group, an ad, or even a specific keyword.
Microsoft adCenter reports are also fully customizable.
You can create reports that tell you exactly what you need to know about the performance
of your campaigns or ads. For example, you might customize a report to focus on
specific keywords, on the cost per click for a specific ad, or on ads that target
customers in particular countries or regions across the globe.

Creating a Report
- Select the campaign whose performance you want to track, then click the
Reports tab. You'll create your report on the Create New Report
page.
- In the Report drop-down list, select the type of report you want
to run.
- You can create a new name for your report if you wish.
- Then, select the options you want in the Report View and
Date Range drop-down lists .
- In the Customize this report section, you can select options to
fine-tune your data.
- If you want to run a report with specific values and criteria on a regular basis,
you can schedule it to run as often as you like.
- Click Schedule this report to specify how often you want adCenter
to generate the report.
- To save your settings as a report template, click Save as Template
.
- When your report is ready, adCenter automatically sends you an e-mail message with
a link to the report. You can modify your report templates any time. You can also
choose to run your report immediately, and it will be displayed right on your screen.

Viewing a Report
You can view reports you've already created at any time. Just click the Reports
tab. The Recent Reports page displays the names of up
to twenty of your most recently-generated reports.
To view a report, click the format you want to display it in. For example, choose
HTML to view the report online.
Microsoft adCenter reports provide rich visual charts, along with tables that contain
detailed numeric values. For example, Age and gender targeting
contains key data about the people who are clicking your ads.
With this important information in hand, you can then do a smarter job of optimizing
your ad campaign.
